Emily Gordon is an alternative rock artist based in Vancouver. Known for her raw,
emotionally driven songwriting and powerful sound, she immersed herself into
the Vancouver rock scene. Growing up in a musical household, Emily was
inspired by her father’s passion for music and set her sights early to become a
rock artist.
Heavily influenced by trailblazing women in rock—such as Paramore’s Hayley
Williams and Pat Benatar—Emily blends vulnerability with grit, creating music
that speaks to both her personal struggles and her resilience. Her early sound
leaned toward indie and soft-spoken tones, but over time her artistic voice has
evolved into something bolder and more unapologetically her own. As a
songwriter, Emily has always felt more comfortable talking about the hardships in
her own life. Her first EP, Koinophobia, explored the feelings of first-love and the
fear of living an ordinary life. Her latest EP, CORRUPT, evolved from the results
of emotional trauma and heartbreak. Now working on her third EP, she is eager
to draw on past experiences performing with artists like Nick Stone and Passion
Mango; gaining live experience as a solo artist in the process. With her newest
project she is leaning more towards the battles within herself. She hopes her
music can be an outlet for those needing a sense of relief; her goal being to
inspire others, just as her own influences inspired her.
